Brussels approves sanctions over China, Myanmar abuses
European Union foreign ministers have agreed sanctions over abuses in Myanmar and China, as the bloc expands measures targeting human rights breaches. The EU has agreed to sanctions and freezes on assets of 11 members of #Myanmar’s junta following the coup last month and subsequent violence against demonstrators. It is also due to place four Chinese officials and one state-run entity on a blacklist over #Beijing’s crackdown on the #Uighur minority. FRANCE 24 correspondent Dave Keating explains the latest.
