EU pushes to resuscitate tourism by reopening borders before season start

The European Commission voiced its support for a return to unrestricted movement by reopening European Union’s internal borders in order to restart travel across them, as tourism accounts for 10% of the Union’s economy. However, many member states badly hit by the Covid-19 pandemic are in no rush to see tourists pouring in again, what could complicate EU’s integrity.
