EU recovery funds: Italy braces for crucial EU summit as it becomes largest fund recipient

Italy’s economy is expected to fall by more than 11 percent due to the pandemic, according to the European Commission’s latest forecast. That is more than any other country in the EU. So Italy stands to be the biggest beneficiary of the recovery fund being discussed at tomorrow’s EU Summit.
