EU, US square up for trade brawl
The U.S. has dropped its label for China as a currency manipulator because it says enforceable commitments not to devalue the yuan have been made by China. It comes as the two nations get ready to sign a phase 1 trade deal tomorrow. But, the attention is shifting to a new brawl. EU trade chief Phil Hogan will be in Washington seeking to smooth tensions with the Trump administration after a turbulent year marred by the threat of tariffs.
