General Election: Boos and handshakes – reaction to the first leaders’ TV debate

Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn went head-to-head in the first TV leaders’ debate of the General Election campaign.

Eliciting both boos and cheers in equal measure, the pair were pressed on their policies on Brexit, the health service, and what they’d buy each other for Christmas.
