Is there a new Cold War for global leadership?

The US, Europe and their allies often portray Russia and China as threats to global peace. But Moscow and Beijing accuse the West of destabilisation by imposing sanctions, and interfering in domestic affairs. Presidents Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin reinforced that point at a virtual summit whilst pledging to co-operate on trade and security. Do the signs point to a Cold War for global leadership?
