Italian PM Conte faces removal as Salvini flexes political muscle
The fate of Italy’s government is to be decided on Tuesday with Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte expected to resign after far-right Interior Minister Matteo Salvini pulled the plug on the dysfunctional coalition.
Conte could be on the cusp of handing in his resignation after the coalition between the far-right League party and the populist Five Star Movement collapsed a few days ago.
