Poland: Democracy at stake?

Poland’s President Andrzej Duda says he is trying to pardon two opposition ex-lawmakers who were jailed for alleged corruption while seeking refuge at his residence. Duda has called the men from the populist Law and Justice Party “political prisoners.” It’s the latest incident in an ongoing conflict between the former governing party and the new government led by Donald Tusk.
