Background
This written procedure is the first step in the process of scrutinising and evaluating the suitability and competence of the Commissioners-designate.
All commissioners-designate received a written questionnaire containing two common questions on their general competence and impartiality as well as cooperation with and accountability to Parliament.
A further set of questions addressed specific policy matters linked to their portfolio.
