COLLEGE MEETING: two new Directors for departments in charge of personnel selection as well as European civil protection and humanitarian aid

Today, the European Commission has decided to appoint Ms Minna Kristiina VUORIO as Director of the European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO) and Ms Andrea KOULAIMAH GABRIEL as Director of Directorate D of the Directorate-General of European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO), dealing with Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, Latin America and Pacific. The date of effect will be determined later. Before, Ms VUORIO worked in the General Secretariat of the Council as Translator, open source intelligence Analyst, Head of the Finnish language unit and Head of the resources and translation support unit. Since July 2016, she was Director of the translation service. Ms KOULAIMAH GABRIEL occupied many different positions in DG ECHO such as Assistant to the Director-General, International Coordination Officer, Deputy Head of Unit and Head of Unit – Central Africa, Sudan, South Sudan. Since October 2015, she was Head of Unit – Field network.
