Commissioner Ferreira on mission in Greece
Today and tomorrow, 16 and 17 January, Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira, will be in Athens, Greece. She will start her first mission to the country as European Commissioner with a meeting with the Deputy-Director of the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, Mr Joaquim Oliveira Martins, followed by a working dinner hosted by the Hellenic Minister of Development and Investment, Mr Adonis Georgiadis. On Friday, Commissioner Ferreira will attend the National Conference on Growth for the Partnership Agreement 2021-2027 where she will give a speech, followed by a press point at 10:30 local time. Afterwards, she will meet with the Greek Minister of Infrastructure and Transports, Mr Kostas Karamanlis and participate in the first Interministerial Committee for Decarbonisation, organised by the Greek Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr Kostis Hatzidakis, which will be concluded with a press point. This meeting will of course be an opportunity for the Commissioner to lay out the Commission’s proposal for a Just Transition Fund, and more generally the European Green Deal Investment Plan. Finally, she will meet Commission staff in the Athens office for Structural Reform Support and conclude her visit around 15:00 local time.
