Commissioner Johansson continue visits to Member States to prepare the New Pact on Migration and Asylum
As part of this week’s round of visits to European capitals to prepare the New Pact on Migration and Asylum, today, Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson, is travelling to Copenhagen where she will meet with Mattias Tesfaye, the Danish Minister for Immigration and Integration. On Thursday, the Commissioner will be joined by the Vice-President for Promoting our European Way of Life, Margaritis Schinas, as they travel to Budapest. On Thursday, the Vice-President for Promoting our European Way of Life, Margaritis Schinas, and Commissioner Johansson will travel to Budapest. Together they will meet with Sándor Pintér, the Hungarian Minister of Interior. These visits are part of a wider programme of bilateral engagement with governments, Parliaments, including the European Parliament, and stakeholders, notably representatives from civil society.
