Commissioner Johansson visits Ukraine to reaffirm EU solidarity and reinforce cooperation on internal security
Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson is in Kyiv, Ukraine today to discuss European Union’s support to Ukraine and its people, in particular the strengthened law enforcement and security cooperation.
Commissioner Johansson will meet the Minister for Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko and Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories, Iryna Vereshchuk. Further meetings will be held with the representatives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office to discuss the progress on anti-corruption reforms.
The Commissioner will also meet with the Speaker of the Parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk. The visit of Commissioner Johansson is part of the larger political commitment of the European Union and expression of solidarity with Ukraine and its people.
