Commissioner Schmit in Rome on Monday and Tuesday

Commissioner Nicolas Schmit, in charge of Jobs and Social Rights, will be in Rome on Monday 24 February and Tuesday 25 February where he will attend a joint parliamentary hearing of the Public and Private Sector Employment and European Affairs Committees in the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate. He will hold a number of bilateral meetings, including with the Minister of Economy and Finance, Roberto Gualtieri; Minister for South and Territorial Cohesion, Giuseppe Provenzano; Minister for Equal Opportunities and Families, Elena Bonetti; Minister of Labour and Social Policies, Nunzia Catalfo; and Minister for Universities and Research, Gaetano Manfredi. During his trip, the Commissioner will also meet social partners and visit several projects funded by the European Social Fund. Finally, he will visit the Forum del Terzo settore association.
