EU International Partnerships: for Governance, Peace and Security, Human Development

The European Union promotes and protects human rights, democracy and the rule of law worldwide. Sustainable development cannot exist without peace and security. We therefore make sure to support our partner countries’ efforts to reduce their vulnerability and build their resilience and political stability. The Directorate-General for International Partnerships is responsible for the EU’s contribution to sustainable development, the eradication of poverty, peace and the protection of human rights.
