Executive Vice-President Dombrovskis in Rome for European Semester country visit
Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice-President for an Economy that Works for People, will be in Rome today and tomorrow for a European Semester country visit. He will hold a number of bilateral meetings, including with Ignazio Visco, Governor of the Bank of Italy and Elisabetta Albertini Casellati, President of the Senate, and the representatives from Italian social partners. He will also attend a joint hearing with the Finance, Budget and European Committees of the Chamber of Deputies and the Italian Senate. On Friday, the Executive Vice-President will have the opportunity to meet Roberto Gualtieri, Minister of Economy and Finance. To mark the release of an assessment into Italian capital markets that has been supported by the Structural Reform Support Programme, he will participate in a conference ‘Creating Growth Opportunities for Italian Companies and Savers’ organised by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and the European Commission.
