Foreign Affairs Council, 18 October

The Foreign Affairs Council will exchange views on the Gulf, the Eastern Partnership, Ethiopia and Nicaragua. It will also be informed about developments in Afghanistan, Tunisia, Western Balkans, climate diplomacy, and the situation in Varosha. The Council is expected to adopt conclusions on Bosnia and Herzegovina/Operation EUFOR Althea.

General Affairs Council, 19 October

Preparations of the European Council on 21-22 October, annual rule of law dialogue and Conference on the Future of Europe will be on the agenda of the General Affairs Council on 19 October in Luxembourg.

European Council, 21-22 October

EU leaders will meet in Brussels to discuss COVID-19, digital, energy prices, migration and external relations.

Transport, Telecommunications and Energy Council (energy issues), 26 October

EU energy ministers will meet to discuss the spike in energy prices and exchange analysis and possible actions outlined in the Commission Communication on energy prices.

Informal video conference of economy and finance ministers, 28 October

Ministers will exchange views on the decisions approving the assessment of the national recovery and resilience plans for Estonia, Finland and Romania with a view of their subsequent adoption by written procedure.
