President Juncker, Commissioner Moscovici and Commissioner Vestager address the EP’s Special Committee on Tax Rulings

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and Commissioner Pierre Moscovici are jointly addressing the joint meeting of the European Parliament’s Special TAXE and ECON Committees this morning to present the Commission’s Action Plan on Fair and Efficient Corporate Taxation. The Action Plan was adopted by the College on 17 June and is part of the Commission’s broader drive to crack down on harmful and abusive tax practices. After their appearance, Commissioner Vestager will speak about the role of state aid control to combat unfair tax competition and updated the Committee on the ongoing state aid inquiries related to tax rulings. The fight against corporate tax avoidance and aggressive tax planning a top priority of the Juncker Commission.
