Statement by the High Representative on behalf of the European Union on the alignment of certain third countries concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine

On 12 September 2024, the Council adopted Council Decision (CFSP) 2024/2456 concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

The Council decided that the information concerning 98 individuals and 33 entities should be updated. Additionally, the entries for five deceased persons and two other persons, as well as one duplicate entry, should be deleted from that Annex. The Decision 2014/145/CFSP should be renewed for a further six months

The candidate countries North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine, Republic of Moldova and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the EFTA countries Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, members of the European Economic Area, align themselves with this Council Decision.
