The EU and the UN co-chair the 4th Brussels pledging conference

The conflict in Syria is entering its 10th year. The humanitarian situation is more dire than ever, with millions of Syrians internally displaced or seeking refuge in neighbouring countries. The COVID-19 pandemic is adding enormous pressure. In this context, the EU and the UN are co-chairing the 4th Brussels pledging conference to mobilise the international community behind the UN-led peace efforts and to mobilise financial support for Syria and neighbouring countries.
