Transfer of Mr Maarten Verwey to the function of Director-General in DG Economic and Financial Affairs

Yesterday, the College, in agreement with President von der Leyen and after consultation of Commissioner for the Economy, Paolo Gentiloni, decided to transfer in the interest of the service, under Article 7 of the Staff Regulations, Mr Maarten Verwey, currently Director-General in the Structural Reform Support Service, to the function of Director-General in DG Economic and Financial Affairs (ECFIN). Before being Director-General in the Structural Reform Support Service, Mr Verwey was Deputy Director-General of DG Economic and Financial Affairs (ECFIN), and before, he used to be Director of Foreign Financial Relations and Deputy Director of Economic and Financial Policy in the Ministry of Finance in the Netherlands. The date of effect will be determined later.
