US President Trump’s decision on trade: MEPs to debate EU measures

MEPs will debate how the EU should respond to US imminent decision to introduce new import duties with EU Commissioner Malmström on Tuesday at around 17.00.

Parliament will be briefed on the EU’s planned counter-measures, and the possible impact on EU jobs, investment and prices, should Mr Trump give the go-ahead to impose new US duties on steel and aluminum imports from 1 June.
