Vice-President Schinas and Commissioner Johansson in The Hague
Today, Vice-President for Promoting our European Way of Life, Margaritis Schinas, and Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson, will both be in The Hague. They will continue their programme of bilateral engagement with European capitals to prepare the New Pact on Migration and Asylum by meeting with Prime Minister Mark Rutte and State Secretary for Security and Justice Ankie Broekers-Knol. Vice-President Schinas will visit the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation, Europol, and meet with the Executive Director Catherine de Bolle. The Vice-President will also meet with Director-General of the General Intelligence and Security Service, Dick Schoof, and Deputy National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism, Patricia Zorko, to discuss the Security Union. Commissioner Johansson will meet with the Committee on Justice and Security of the Dutch House of Representatives and representatives of civil society organisations, and will travel to Schiphol Airport to observe the airport’s border procedures.
