At the start of the German Presidency of the Council of the EU, Commission President Ursula von der Leyen received German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, European Council President Charles Michel and European Parliament President David Sassoli for a meeting to prepare the upcoming political negotiations on the EU recovery package.
