Professor Chris Mitchell has been a Professor of Computer Science at Royal Holloway, University of London (RHUL) since 1990; he previously worked for Hewlett-Packard Labs, Bristol as a project manager. He has worked in information security and cryptography for over 40 years, and he has published well over 200 refereed articles in journals and conferences. At RHUL he co-founded the world famous Information Security Group in 1990 and also played a major role in developing the ground-breaking MSc in Information Security in 1992, which now has several thousand alumni worldwide. He has been involved in international security standardisation for over 30 years.
