Silke Dalton is the Head of the Working Group Economy and Environment of the European People’s Party (EPP). She had been an EPP Adviser for the Committee on Industry Research and Energy (ITRE) and worked on several key legislative dossiers such as the reform of the Emission Trading System (ETS) after 2020, the Horizon Europe Programme, the InvestEU Programme, the Governance of the Energy Union, the Renewable Energy Directive, the Cybersecurity Act, the Data Governance Act and the Digital Market Act. She had also been involved in key strategies including the EU data and digital decade strategy, industrial and SME strategy. Previously, she worked as a Project Manager for the European Commission, as well as a Parliamentary Assistant. Ms Dalton holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the Otto-Friedrich University of Bamberg and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and European Integration from Science Po.
