After a 38-year career in the European institutions, where he held several positions, particularly in the External Action Service, Erwan Fouéré joined CEPS as a Research Associate. His research interests include the role of the EU in the Western Balkans in terms of security, stability, enlargement and domestic policy. In addition, his research focuses on assessing the impact of the Lisbon Treaty on the performance of the EU, with specific reference to the role of the Special Representatives.
