Florent Le Strat started his career in 1998 by performing heat transfer calculations for Ariane V launcher. In 1999, he joined the EDF’s Nuclear Engineering Division where he was in charge of containment systems design (improvement of present plants, new systems for EPR). In 2004, he moved to the R&D Division of EDF, and integrated the team studying policies studies. Expert research engineer since 2013, he analyses the evolution of climate policies at European and international level, assesses the impact of EU-ETS regulations on carbon price, in relationship with the other climate-energy targets, through internal studies or in relationship with partners.
