François Roux is the Ambassador for the Permanent Representation of Belgium to the European Union since September 2016. Mr Roux represented Belgium as Ambassador to the United Nations Office in Geneva from 2011 to 2012, and was Head of Coordination and European Affairs at the FPS Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation between April 2012 and September 2016. After graduating in economics from the University of Paris II, the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, and a degree in Public and International Affairs from the UCL, he was admitted to the diplomatic competition of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium.
