Gaetano De Salvo is the Counsellor responsible for free circulation of goods and services and IPRs in the “Internal Market and IPR Unit” at the Permanent Representation of Italy to the EU. He has this far negotiated several legislative files regarding both industrial property and copyright, held the position of Team Leader for the trilogues on the trademarks package during the Italian Presidency of the Council and served as Chair of the Competitiveness and Growth Working Group of the Council. Previously, Gaetano De Salvo was Head of Unit in the department of EU Affairs of the Italian government for which he dealt with economic issues in the remit of both the General Affairs Council and the European Council.
