Stylianou Helen

Helen Stylianou is Australia’s Deputy Head of Mission in the Australian Embassy to Belgium and Luxembourg and Permanent Mission to the European Union and NATO. She is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade who has previously served overseas in Australia’s Permanent Mission to the World Trade Organization in Geneva, and in Australia’s Embassy and Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Vienna. Prior to taking up her role as Deputy in Brussels in September 2016, she was an Assistant Secretary in the Office of Trade Negotiations overseeing Australia’s trade policy in the WTO and in services trade negotiations, and was chief negotiator and co-chair of international negotiations on trade in services in Geneva. She has also served in legal advisory positions on international and trade law in the department.
