Ian Duncan is an MEP from Scotland who is a member of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and a substitute member of the Industry, Research & Energy Committee. Ian trained as a geologist, and holds a doctorate from Bristol University, where he was a teaching fellow. He began his career with BP, focusing upon prospects in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Republics. Prior to election, Ian was for seven years Head of the Scottish Parliament’s EU Office in Brussels, laterally combining it with the role of Clerk to the Parliament’s European & External Relations Committee.
