Karel Lanoo is Chief executive of CEPS, a leading think tank, rated among the top 10 in the world, with staff of about 70 persons, focused on European and global policy issues. He is a regular speaker in hearings for European, national and international institutions, at global conferences and in executive training programmes. He has also been an independent director of BME (Bolsas y Mercados Espanoles), the listed company that manages the Spanish securities markets (2006-2018) and is a member of the Capital Markets’ Committee of the Dutch financial markets authority (AFM).
