Since April of 2014, Peter Remmen is working as a Research Associate at the Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate of the Aachen University, where he heads the research team Urban Energy Systems since this year. His research focus is on the analysis of thermal energy supply systems for buildings on urban scale. In particular, he develops automated approaches for integral dynamic simulation and evaluation of energy supply systems, energy transmission and buildings energy demand for city districts. A virtual district couples these approaches with real measurement data and enables validation and calibration of the simulation tools.
