Philippe Lamberts has been an MEP since 2009. He is a member of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, of the Special Committee on Tax Rescissions and other measures similar in nature or effect, and of the Conference of Presidents. Between 1999 and 2003, he served as Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister Durant on foreign affairs and defence matters. Between 2006 and 2012, he was Co-Chairman of the European Greens. Philippe Lamberts graduated as an engineer from the Catholic University of Leuven. From 1987 to 2009, he worked for IBM as a manager.
