Pierre Chastanet is Deputy Head of Unit Cybersecurity & Digital Privacy in the Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology of the European Commission, where he is in charge of cybersecurity industrial policy. He has been working for 10 years in the European Commission in various policy development and programme management assignments, in the area of cybersecurity and privacy, ICT for Societal Challenges, green ICT and network innovation. Prior to that, he held various IT management positions for seven years at Procter & Gamble, including Head of Global ICT Innovation. He started his career in Washington DC in a start-up company working on surgical simulation.
