Uwe Schroeder-Selbach is Energy Attaché for the Permanent Representation of Germany to the EU. After having worked for the industry, he joined the German Federal Civil Service in 1991 within the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Initially he worked on issues regarding the East German industry privatization, while later he was responsible for the Committee on Export Credit Guarantees. After several years acting as an Advisor in the Federal Chancellory, Uwe Schroeder-Selbach has covered a spectrum of energy policy issues since 2000 back at BMWi. He is a lawyer and holds an MPA degree.
