Yana Toom is an Estonian politician and an MEP in her second parliamentary term. She is Vice-Chair of the Committee on Petitions and a Member of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs. She is a member to the Estonian Centre Party, which belongs to the Renew Europe Group in the European Parliament. She was also a member of the Estonian Parliament in its 12th term and Deputy Mayor of Tallin. Yana Toom started her professional career as a journalist and has been Editor in chief, correspondent and reporter for several major publications in Estonia.
